Linde is currently seeking a CES Asset Manager to join the team in the Murray hill, New Jersey area.

 

 

Purpose of the Position:

 

 The purpose of the CES Asset Manager role is to:

  • Lead the CES capital equipment inventory management, forecasting, procurement, and CAPEX budget development and oversight to meet the new business requirements for the Linde RNA bulk business (Markets, Electronics, Healthcare).
  • Fulfill role of a technical expert with respect to cryogenic and bulk CO2 storage tank design, construction, operation, and related national codes & standards.
  • Lead the quality management of third party capital equipment vendors in order to provide timely, high quality, and reliable capital equipment supply/reconditioning, inspection, and testing services for bulk tanks, vaporizers, and cryogenic pumps in the Linde RNA CES asset inventory

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall CES capital equipment asset pool for Linde RNA. Accurately track all assets, equipment specs/data, and manage technical documentation for new and rehab’d equipment.
  • Execute all third-party equipment sales and manage idle equipment inventories.
  • Support the Manager of CES Engineering, Standards, and Asset Management and Procurement in the identification and qualification of customer station equipment suppliers/vendors. Support vendor pricing negotiations and agreements. 
  • Lead CES quality management processes and support the supplier evaluation process for RNA CES capital equipment vendors/suppliers. Evaluate and monitor capital equipment vendors for compliance to CES standards. 
  • Fulfil role as a subject matter expert on ASME pressure vessel design, construction codes, fabrication methods, and maintenance for bulk cryogenic LIN/LOX/LAR and CO2 pressure vessels. 
  • Provide industry specific expertise in Oxygen materials compatibility and experience in ASTM Oxygen cleanliness levels, methods, and standards/specifications.
  • Provide industry specific expertise on liquid hydrogen bulk storage pressure vessel design, operation, construction codes, and fabrication. Experience with hydrogen piping design (vacuum jacketed piping, AWS welding certification requirements, ASME B31.12 hydrogen piping code) also required.
  • Ensure that all Linde CES bulk customer station capital equipment is aligned with CGA industry best practices, national codes and standards. Actively support customer station equipment standardization and best practices. 
  • Support the development, maintenance, and implementation of CES standard equipment specifications in partnership with CES Engineering and Standards Engineers. 
  • Represent Linde RNA CES in CGA technical committees, standards development, and meetings involving bulk cryogenic and CO2 storage equipment standards

Qualifications

Basic:

  • Bachelor Degree- Technical degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical preferred) or other technical discipline. Masters preferred
  • Minimum 7 Years- Direct or indirect experience in vendor/contractor management
  • Minimum 10 Years - Functional and technical experience with cryogenic storage tanks and related equipment.
  • ASME, NFPA, & CGA codes and standards relating to bulk cryogenic storage systems & equipment.

 

Other:

 

  • Commercial knowledge specific to industrial gases and cryogenics business. 
  • Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail.
  • Proponent of continuous improvement and information sharing.
  • Intimate knowledge of Linde RNA systems such as LIMSS, GDMS, and SAP PM and Financial reporting systems.
  • Advanced degree in Engineering or Engineering Management a plus.
  • Inspirational leadership style – ability to lead and communicate the quality management vision and strategy for Linde CES.
  • Technically adept in cryogenic and CO2 bulk storage tanks, pumps, and vaporization equipment design and fabrication methods.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Meticulous, methodical, and detail orientated; ability to focus on details while keeping an eye on CES’ strategy and long term goals.
  • Knowledgeable in CGA standards on Bulk Distribution Equipment and Systems.
  • Knowledgeable in ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel code and ASME B31.3 Process Piping.
  • Excellent customer relations and communications skills.
  • Strong Computing and Data Reporting Skills - Knowledge of MS Office Suite/Excel/Access, SAP Financial Module expertise.
